This course is a must for all in the support and care professions! Attachment theory is one of the most important theories of human nature. This course will explore why attachment theory is so important, how it develops and what happens when the attachment process is derailed. It will explore the neurobiology of attachment; how to spot secure and insecure attachment styles; how an understanding of attachment theory can inform our contact with colleagues and service users and be used to design services including Psychologically-informed and Trauma-informed services.

Length: Four modules, duration: 1-1.5 hour study per module

Passionately working across organisational boundaries to develop new approaches to address health inequalities, Dr Williamson has a national reputation as leader in the development and delivery of services to address the needs of complex and multiply disadvantaged populations.

Emma is also the CEO of aneemo Ltd staff training and development company, works in private practice, teaches on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate at the Kings College London’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience and is a published author; regularly talking at conferences, in national media, TV documentaries & news programmes.
