In this course on Understanding and Working with Substance Use you will learn about the prevalence, context and problems associated with substance use disorders. Alongside substance specific knowledge, you’ll get to develop your understanding on how to comprehensively assess and formulate substance use in an individualised and person-centred way. Finally, we’ll learn some practical techniques to guide your use of psychosocial interventions that can support people with substance use disorder to achieve wellbeing, maintain recovery and sustain long term behavioural change.

Like all aneemo courses, this course contains more than 20 bitesize video tutorials that sit alongside study materials, downloadable worksheets, toolkits, reflective exercises, links to further reading, quizzes to assess learning and official CPD Certification upon completion.

Length: four modules. Duration: 30 - 45 mins of study per module.
